Simple use
Place a layer of about 15 to 20 cm on the floor in your loft. Cobs can remain in a loft for a long period.
Example: You have a loft of 2 x 2 meters, you will need 4 bags of Broken Cobs.
This results in a nice layer of cobs lying on the floor of your loft, that you can leave there for a long period of time
The occupation of your loft by your pigeons, determins a healthy habitat for your pigeons. When a section is empty, it influences the climate and also the state of your floor-covering. When the broken cobs remain in an empty space with few ventilation and possible moist for a longer period, there is the chance the cobs are damaged by moulds. Therefore ensure a good ventilation of your loft when it’s empty.
As used by Marcel Sangers
Before the racing season starts, about end March beginning of April, I put a layer of cobs in all lofts. At the end of the season in September/October I refresh the corn cobs.
Throughout the years I tried many products as floor covering in the lofts; wood chips, lava grit and different kinds of straw. Never I was 100% satisfied about any of these products. The wood chips got dirty quickly and you walk them out of the loft easily, after a while the garden is covered with wood chips. Lava grit does the same and this makes the lofts quit dusty. Straw gets wet easily with rainy weather and that brings an unpleasant smell in the lofts. It also sticks to your shoes and that makes you walk it outside.
Cobs as floor covering has none of these problems! They are a bit more expensive, but they last long in the lofts. For me, it is the ideal floor covering in the pigeon loft; convince yourself of advantages of this exclusive product in pigeon racing.
